Last updated: September 2026. Event Ecosystem (“we”, “the platform”) is a Nigeria-first event marketplace. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, phone number, password (stored hashed), role.
• Business data: business name, description, contact details, listings, availability, bookings.
• Booking data: event dates, guest counts, messages, reviews.
• Technical data: device, browser, IP address, usage logs for security and analytics.

2. How we use it

• Operate the marketplace: accounts, search, bookings, reviews, notifications.
• Verify vendors and moderate content to keep the marketplace trustworthy.
• Process payments and payouts (via licensed providers such as Paystack and Flutterwave).
• Improve the service and communicate updates, with your consent where required.

3. Sharing

We share data only as needed: with vendors you book, with payment providers to process transactions, and with authorities where legally required. We never sell personal data.

4. Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data, and withdraw marketing consent at any time by emailing hello@eventecosystem.aurahost.online.

5. Security & retention

Passwords are hashed, access is role-based, and sensitive actions are audit-logged. Data is retained only as long as needed for the service or legal obligations.
